italian scramble (eggs, sausage, mozarella, marinara)

1/2 cup chimichurri rice

wheat death
so yeah. um. turns out i'm 'sensitive' to dairy and soy.. i can eat it but get kinda bloaty n stuff. is not death.

but wheat.. gluten.. ha. yeah.

*big fucking sigh*

I can tell you that it was wonderful biting into that red pepper and goat cheese scone. That beautiful savory pastry. The crust, OH! the crust. but 1/2 way into it, the hot flashes started.. then the gut ache.. felt like a rock in my tummy. then the headache, dizziness and nausea. i felt like throwing up. it was horrible!


i tried sprouted wheat for lunch thinking some ppl get away with it and was deathly ill AGAIN.


so yeah. goodbye wheat and gluten. you fucking bastards and all your evil yummniness. i don't need you. i won't eat you. i'm going to program myself to believe that you don't even exist.

1 large jamba juice

Lunch:
1 shrimp tostada

Dinner:
1/2 serving basil chili chicken
1/2 serving yellow curry chicken
1/2 cup white rice
1/2 serving chicken satay

Exercise:
Walked about 3 miles around San Jose carrying a very heavy backpack :)

1 cup chimichurri rice

Dairy:
so, no real issues so far. I have tried cheese and butter with no problems. YAY!

I did have a reaction to Amy's GF mac 'n cheese tho. My tummy bloated and I felt all oogy. Which REALLY sucks because I do SO love Amy's gf mac 'n cheese. *sigh* I'll probably still eat it every great once in awhile after clubbing.. ;p

For dairy I still need to try:
a glass of milk
creamer (half & half)
cottage cheese
sour cream
yogurt




and then.... WHEAT and other glutens. eeeii...

a quick update
I will elaborate further when I get more time at the computer but for now I'll make some quick notes:

EGGS:
no reactions. just yummy :)


SOY:
To my surprise I didn't have much of a reaction to soy this time around. Still experiencing sensitivities yet nothing like the full blown reactions I got last year. I tested:
soymilk
soy butter
soy cheese
soy sauce (no wheat)
and tofu

Nothing gave me the flu like symtoms or achiness that I felt last year. I got a teeny bit bloated and slightly gaseous (i know, tmi) ~ but nothing that Beano couldn't help, if I chose to eat soy for whatever reason. Luckily, because of how it affects estrogen levels so much, I don't see myself choosing soy products that often. Yet it is good to know that if I get a vegetarian meal that has tofu in it, I won't die.


GARBANZO BEANS:
same thing. bloaty and gaseous, yet nothing to freak out over. Just cuts out my hummus intake from often to rarely. I will test beans more thoroughly at another time.


DAIRY:
This morning I had a slice of Provolone cheese and then a slice of almond bread with creamed cheese and smoked salmon. I felt fine. No pains, no aches, no bloaty. Nothing. Hmm..

This evening, I ate Amy's GF Mac 'n Cheese loaded with dairy stuff (milk, butter, cheese) and a rice protien veggie burger, no bread. I'm not sure what killed me, I'm guessing it was dairy. :(
About 20 minutes after eating, I got a headache, got all bloaty, and muscle achey. *sigh*
It's an hour later and I feel better now, but damn.. I really love Amy's mac 'n cheese...

tonight, i'm going to a movie where i shall indulge in popcorn with butter (stuff!) haha.. its' probably not even dairy! whatever.. I'm happy to indulge! ;p

well, it wasn't really 'exercise', but shopping all day was more exercise than I've been capable of all week!

Flu foods...not really eating normal until tonight when I was STARVING!

Lunch:
1 container street fruit (about 3 cups papaya, melon, cucumber)
2 handfuls gf pretzels

Dinner:
4 corn tortillas w/ 2 oz light cheddar

Then dinner again :)
1 chicken patty
1 lara bar
1 trio bar
1 handful dried cranberries
1 cup vanilla ice cream

I suppose that still wasn't very much food...just feeling like a piggy now!

the story with corn and beans
the past few days, we have added in CORN! and beans!

i have tried corn tortillas and corn chips so far. And so far, no issues. Tomorrow, I'll try straight corn on the cobb. And I'll also try making some gluten free corn bread. So far though, no issues whatsoever.

Tonight was a little weird tho. I added in beans for the first time. I'm not sure what happened but I definately became bloated and felt overfull for nearly 3 hours after eating.
I ate two veggie tacos:

4 warmed corn tortillas
1/2 cup black beans (1st time added in)
1/2 cup lettuce & purple cabbage
1/2 cup rice
1 tbsp cilantro
1/2 cup pico de gallo
1/3 cup guacamole sauce
1 tbsp green chili salsa

after dinner I drank a decaf rice latte.

Now, I'm not sure what it was. Too many foods in there to pick just one. I am also thinking that is the issue as well. Too many different foods... The pico, with the salsa, with the green chili sauce.. with the addition of beans. And then drinking the decaf coffee after that. Its like a science experiment in my tummy! Ha! In truth, I always have had troubles digesting mexican food. *sigh* i'll have to try and keep it simple and mild when i do eat it.


I think i'll give corn a few more days and then try beans all on their own after that.

In other news: my bandmate got me sick. He was deathly ill for our show on Saturday and now I am feeling quite thee poopy. This also creates questionable conditions when trying to discern the elimination diet. I don't know what is making me feel sick! the food or just the flu in general.

1 trio bar

Dinner:
1 stuffed chicken breast (spinach, mushrooms, ricotta, parmesan)
1 green salad w/ oil and vinegar

Dessert:
1 cup strawberry ice cream

Exercise:
3 mile run
1/2 mile swim

Saturday:
1 cup rice chex w/ 1/2 cup 1% milk and 1 tbsp cranberries

2/3 stuffed chicken breast

2oz ahi tuna
1/2 cup japanese kale/seaweed

so i'm testing tomato. i may have a tomato sensitivity. the other day i was eating that cold tomato soup and felt very ill afterwards. I think that was due to the fact that the base was made from V8 juice tho.
I am going to eat a whole tomato when i get home and see how i feel after eating it. After dinner tonite with the cacciatore, i felt fine, then ate 4 raspberries.... I started feeling all achey and poopy. i don't *think* it was the tomatoes, however, it could have been the raspberries as they were batched in with a bunch of them that were molding and rotting. I could have had a teeny dose of food poisening. I am feeling better now tho..

*sigh* i wish i wasn't so sensitive to food... :'(

I haven't been posting the past few days mostly due to being out of town and alsp just being uber busy and not any where near a computer!

Some things I'd like to note however...

We added in onion and tomato this past sunday. So far this week I haven't had any issues with either tomato or onion.. until today. I ate a cold tomato soup. Seemed innocent enough. Was made from Mothers Nature's Cupboard. Ingredients were: tomato, basil, zuchinni, green and yellow peppers, and onion in a (and here's what i think got me.. V8 juice base) It seemed like all things I normally eat these days but my tongue swelled up, my arms hurt, it was hard to breathe, my throat hurt.. and I felt achey and sleepy. :(
I am hoping this is not a sensitivity to tomato but at this time I can't think of what else it may be. I will experiement more with it this week.



I finally got to eat at Chaco Canyon. It's so good I ate there twice this week!
